Just as I was about to shelve the ‘bell for the next 5 months, I remembered this amazing trainer and knew that I had to get her new DVD: Baby Bells the Fit Pregnancy Kettlebell Workout DVD Lauren Brooks.

The DVD is chaptered and includes a joint mobility/warm-up, three workout sections and a cool-down stretch. Lauren includes modifications for all levels and stages of pregnancy. I love Lauren’s training style and the fact that she is cruising through this workout at 6 1/2 months pregnant kept me very motivated.

I got a fantastic workout and I’m so happy I can continue to safely use my kettlebell throughout my pregnancy.

This DVD is a great follow-up to Brooks’ first DVD, The Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells.

With a more mellow and calming feel than her first DVD, Lauren, 6 ½ months pregnant with her second child, introduces viewers to the benefits of exercise during pregnancy and the precautions that need to be taken when exercising during pregnancy, as outlined by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Once again, Lauren inspires. While many women may use the excuse of pregnancy to literally “eat for two” and stay away from the gym, the energy that Lauren radiates proves that making fitness and healthy eating a priority even during pregnancy is good for mom and for a healthy baby.

I've been doing kettlebell workouts regularly for more than two years (my 68-year-old dad got me into kettlebells--he uses them every day & swears they're responsible for his excellent health), and I have been using your Baby Bells DVD about three times a week ever since I got pregnant. (Thank you so much for making this DVD--you're the only source I've been able to find for substantive information on using kettlebells during pregnancy.

Since a lot of pregnancy exercise videos are non-strenuous to the point of silliness, I didn't expect Baby Bells to be that challenging, and was pleasantly surprised at what a satisfying workout it gave me. I continue to do it about three to four days a week, along with prenatal yoga and daily long dog walks. 28 weeks into my pregnancy, my husband is still saying I've never looked more fit, particularly in my legs--and I have an abundance of strength and energy. I've only gained about 16 pounds so far, and haven't changed dress sizes at all apart from the belly. I know that without kettlebells and your DVD, I would not feel nearly this good or be this healthy during pregnancy.

Thank you again for the unique and wonderful work you're doing --your DVD has really made a huge difference for my pregnancy and I am so grateful to have found it! I hope it will make a difference for many other women too!

I was going to email anyway to tell you that I have decided that out of my long time collection of over 100 workout DVDs, I’ve decided that Baby Bells is my PERFECT workout. I don’t know why but it just works for me sooo well!! I am going to use it as the basis of my workouts and schedule everything else I do around it. So glad I decided to get it!

Hi Lauren,
So I wanted to write to you and tell you that I am crediting your baby bells to my amazing pregancy, labor, and recovery!

I used baby bells my entire pregnancy and did cardio too. (this was my first pregnancy) I actually did your DVD the night I went into labor so I keep telling people that your DVD put me into labor! Thank goodness it did... :) , I delivered on 01/05/2010. People are shocked I was doing that DVD at 39 almost 40 weeks, but it made me feel good to do it! My labor went so well it last 8 hours and I swear I don't even feel like I had a baby. I am up and about with no issues I feel great! Also, my belly is melting away and I am thinking I'll be back soon! As soon as I get the ok from the Dr. I am going to start up with your DVD's can't wait its killing me now because I want to do them!!

Well just thought I would let you know your videos rock keep up the awesome work!!

I love this DVD, it gets your heartrate up and is fun and thorough, it could benefit anyone not pregnant (beginners, intermed, advanced.) I have used it throughout my pregnancy and I have used Kettlebells for 5 years. I have modified it to make it harder or easier on days I have more energy or less, depending on circumstances.

I'm 36 weeks prego now and can still use this for a great workout. I love the cool down it is soooo relaxing. I like that Lauren is also prego in the DVD, like if she can do this workout, I can too! If I have more energy, I can increase the circuits to 3x each...on less energy days I just do the DVD as it is, it always helps me to feel better and have more energy throughout the day. It makes me feel like I have accomplished something healthy and beneficial for both me and my baby every time. Also I like that you can get a great workout in under 40 minutes!!!

There are definitely enough modifications to do this throughout my entire pregnancy. I have just used lighter kettlebells as I've gotten farther along...I will continue to use this DVD and The Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning DVD to recover and regain my shape after baby comes. Thank you for your great products!!!

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and am thoroughly enjoying the Baby Bells DVD. I do it with my friend, who is not pregnant but is trying to get into shape for her wedding and she finds it brilliant even thought she is not pregnant so I think it is beneficial for both. She does the 12 minute fat blast in the morning and we do the Baby Bells together in the afternoon - She says because it is slower she feels she has to work harder. I love the Baby Bells dvd because you can use the kettlebells with it and being quite into kettlebells before I fell pregnant I find that it is enough to make me feel like i've pushed myself and had a good workout but not put myself, or my baby, in any danger.

I just want to thank you again for opening my eyes to the world of Kettlebells and as a result I will be starting my training to become a personal trainer in February and am planning on going on to becoming a qualified kettlebells instructor.

Kind Regards to you and your family

I bought your Baby Bell's DVD several months ago, and LOVE It! I love to train for strength and since being pregnant, needed some other ideas and discovered you! perfect! Now I have some new kettle bell exercises to work with and you as an inspiration. For those days when I am tired, I remember you mentioning that even short workouts are beneficial. So thank you!! I am 29 weeks prego and continue to workout till the day my baby is born!
Peace and Health,

I think this workout would be great for people not pregnant, I plan on using this workout after my pregnancy. I like that the workout is challenging, especially compared to the other pregnancy DVD's on the market that didn't give me a very good workout. The only exercise that I don't like doing is the reverse lunge so I do good mornings instead otherwise I feel comfortable doing all of the exercises.

I am very happy with this DVD and has been the only thing to replace my gym weight lifting sessions and the only video that has kept me working out at home!

The Baby Bells workout kicked my butt and I am not pregnant yet! I was experiencing really bad PMS the day I decided to try out the Baby Bells workout; I figured if Lauren could do that workout while she was 6 months pregnant then I should be able to do it even on a bad PMS day. The soothing music and stress-relieving warm-up revived me enough to continue through the workout. I used my 18 lb. kettlebell for all the exercises instead of the smaller sizes that are recommended by Lauren for women who are pregnant, and boy did I get a solid workout! My heart rate did not get as high in the workout as it does when I use Lauren's first kettlebell workout DVD (which has me sucking wind by the end of the Body Sculpting workout) but I definitely got tired and my muscles were feeling the workout the next day. With a lighter kettlebell, I know I'll be able to use this DVD when I do become pregnant, but for now it's my go-to workout when I'm just not up for a high intensity workout.

I love the soothing but energizing music. The warm-up was thorough and my joints felt well prepared for the workout. I enjoyed the format of the workouts, which consisted of about 4 circuits of exercises, which were repeated once before moving on to the next circuit. I also liked that Lauren included a few isolation movements towards the end such as overhead triceps extensions and bicep curls. I love that Lauren created the video during her pregnancy; I think that when I am pregnant it will make me feel better about myself to see her complete the same workout while pregnant that I'll be completing and getting to see the modifications that she made to accommodate the baby.

From what I have seen I think I'll be able to do this workout throughout my entire pregnancy, though I might replace the overhead swings with regular swings towards the end. I haven't been nor am I currently pregnant so this is all speculation at the moment but I bought this DVD in advance to use during my first pregnancy, which will hopefully be soon! :)
