Brooks offers a comprehensive introduction to some basic kettlebell movements along with some bodyweight exercises such as pushups, mountain climbers and squat thrusts (aka burpees).

| Regina's Road to StrengthSeeing each exercise broken down step-by-step and demonstrated was a huge asset to me. For someone that has never picked up a Kettlebell, the step-by-step demonstrations and explanations provided are clear, concise and simple to comprehend. If that were not enough, which is plenty, there follow along workouts that can be done as many times as you can! Moreover, Lauren makes sure to provide modifications for the exercise for varying fitness levels. This means that this DVD can be beneficial to anyone regardless of fitness level or kettlebell experience. |

I have been interested in kettlebells for about a year now but haven't been able to find any place that offers lessons. The articles I have read strongly suggested lessons from a kettlebell instructor prior to attempting use of kettlebells on my own. I finally purchased your Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning Volume 1 DVD and I absolutely love it! The demonstration section is excellent and the workouts are well planned and challenging! You are extremely motivating and encouraging. My daughter and I have both been doing your DVD w/ a 15lb and have recently ordered a 20lb Ader K-bell! Thank-you so much for being so awesome and I can't wait to get Volume 2!

WoW! Ok so I have a group of friends with whom I have been training while deployed here in Iraq. I had brought with me two 35 pound kettlebells and introduced them to some people who were unhappy with the stale army style of PT that they were taught. So after working with them on the 35 pounders for a while one guy decided to upgrade to a 44 pounder from AOS and I got an Ader bell at 50 pounds. We had (so I thought) progressed beyond the 35 pound weight for sustained workouts. Then, a female friend of mine showed interest and ordered an 18 pound cannonball and I had directed her to your site for some more info. I knew she would be excited about beginning so as a gift I got for her your new DVD. It arrived two days ago. Today, I got my what I thought was a fairly in shape behind handed to me! My 35 pound KB and I thought we'd be supportive and do the 40 minute conditioning workout. It was awesome!! It was for me the perfect change of pace, reps, volume, and circuit style program that apparently I needed to progress to another level. Thank the heavens I had a feeling you would produce a high quality and intense workout so I did NOT take the 50 pound bell! My friend and her 18 pound KB formed a very special bond as well. As she lay on the ground drenched in sweat she looked from me to her kettlebell and stared at it in wonder! Like Ponce De Leon and the fountain of youth finally united! And so, with the help of one ball of iron and your DVD, another believer is born, and one semi-smug male was humbled once again. Awesome DVD, absolutely love it and so does she! I just got your Ultimate Body Sculpt & Conditioning with KB DVD. I must tell you that it is a a great DVD. My wife and I have recently gotten into KB's and I have spent a little money collecting DVD's and books. After watching the DVD and working out I must say that this is an excellent program you have put together. Your explanations are to the point and I feel like everything moves at a perfect pace. I like the options of short and long workouts and you provide a good list of exercises that I can put together.

Hi Lauren, I just wanted to write and let you know that I am a recent convert to the Kettlebell workout. I have worked out for years. I love cardio and spend hours a week on the elliptical or the treadmill. I know I need to do weight training but I just hate it. My body was in desperate need of something new and I was willing to give KB’s a shot because of the weight training they naturally provide. I am in my first week and am very motivated. I love your DVD and feel excited about weight lifting the KB way. Thanks much!!

Lauren, I have never emailed an exercise instructor before until now. Your new DVD, The Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells is the best workout I've ever done. I've used The Firm original series, the Step, Turbo Jam and none of them compare to yours. This is the most efficient form of exercise I have ever experienced. I am a busy professional and do not have time for 1 & 1/2 hours of exercise, but I can manage 40 minutes or 15 minutes if I'm really pressed for time. I have been using your DVD consistently for about 3 weeks now and I'm already noticing subtle changes in my body. I plan to keep at it and also clean up my eating habits. Thanks for sharing your kettlebell knowledge with us.

"Hi Lauren, I wanted to add my name to the huge list of your devoted followers!! I purchased your Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells Volume 1 DVD about 4 weeks ago and I am IN LOVE with this workout! I am 26 years old and have 2 children (2 1/2 years and 1 year) and have been religiously exercising since my youngest's birth. I quickly shed the "baby weight" but was not getting the tone I wanted.... until I discovered kettlebells. I ordered this DVD following the recommendation of another mom on the CafeMom website and I honestly can't even put into words how much I love it. I truly feel it has changed my life even in the short time I've been doing it. I am excited to workout every day. I've never been "athletic" in my life. Always been "thin" but not strong. With this DVD I can feel myself getting toned. I mainly do the 40 minute workout, and on days that i'm feeling particularly energized, I will also do the 12 minute fat blast in addition. An issue I had before was finding the time to exercise considering I'm a stay at home mom with 2 little ones. However, my kids LOVE to watch me do this workout, lol. My older child tries to mirror my moves, and it is so adorable. Anyway, I'm not sure what I can really say that you haven't heard a million times before, considering your huge fan base. But I just wanted to add my two cents ;) This is a great workout, the DVD is put together beautifully, and you and your partner (Robin Duncan) are very inspirational. I have to be honest and say that the fact that you two are mothers yourself has inspired me SO MUCH. That fact alone is part of the reason I love this DVD. I'm a 40-year old guy from Virginia who has been married 18 years and has two kids...my wife and I have been getting back into shape over the last couple of years, and I got Lauren's "Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning" DVD after following a link to it from DragonDoor (I got into kettlebells after getting a couple of Pavel's books). Anyway, it's just incredible. Even the 12-minute 'fat blast' workout is tough; I have my 2 boys working right beside me with their KB's, and we laugh because Lauren's such a nice, cute gal but this workout is KICKING OUR BUTTS! My wife's going to get into it soon, after she recovers from a recent surgery, but she's really looking forward to it, she says "I want her abs!" Lauren, I purchased your DVD through DragonDoor, and just wanted to drop you a quick note. I really love it, and as a beginner to the Kettlebell world, your DVD has been super challenging yet easy to follow. I love your straight forward style. I have been using weights almost all my life, (started at 12) and I'm 42. I have also always been active, (hiking, biking, running, rollerblading etc.) my whole life as well. I have had a rough time with my health the last 4 years. I am a personal trainer certified since '99 with ACE, but not a practicing one, for the time being. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism a couple of years ago, which took a couple of years to even find that out, then it has been an uphill battle just to find the right dose of Synthroid. I was one of those people who has always been a healthy lifestyle type, and lean all my life, until this happened. I have since struggled with self-confidence issues. My doc thinks my thyroid started failing due to all the stress I was under a few years back(due to caring for my little mama, who was terminally ill, and then a new baby). Anyway, I really think the Kettlebell training, along with the right dose of Synthroid, is finally helping me work my way back to leanness. Your instruction has been the key for me. I tried Pavel's DVD first, and obviously he is awesome, but I had trouble following, due to my inexperience. When I got your DVD, I was so happy I was able to follow, yet it is still super challenging! Thanks much, I'll certainly steer everyone I know in your direction, for Kettlebell in home training! As someone who doesn't enjoy treadmill or elliptical intervals, I love how your workout really gets my heart pumping but also makes me feel like my muscles are getting a good workout. The time flies by. I love how it's structured, just when I think I can't go any further the 1 minute break comes and I can catch my breath and get ready for the next couple of minutes. I have a large collection of fitness dvds and a lots of weight and cardio equipment at home (I get bored fast plus I'm no spring chicken) and I think I've enjoyed this workout more than just about any of the other ones I have. So thank you for that! I hope you sell a ton and I hope you continue to make more (would have loved to have your new one back when I was pregnant and working out). I also liked that there wasn't a room full of people hooting and hollering and that you did the full workout yourself (the woman that is with you...I'm sorry, I don't remember her name...is also very motivating. I'm almost her age and she looks amazing.) As someone who is struggling with a middle-aged metabolism, I hope that I am emailing you in a couple of months because I am finally getting my "old" body back thanks to your workouts!!! -Linda Wagner

I have just purchased your " Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells", DVD, and have been doing it now since I got it at the beginning of March, this has been my first experience with Kettlebells and I would have to say that the results have been immediate, I have found myself within the first week having to constantly pull my jeans up due to your workout, which spoke volumns to me about the positive effects of Kettlebell Training.
I would also like to praise you for your encouragement for other mothers out there, I truly think you are amazing, and have a fantastic strong body, I have a 23month old boy, and hope to achieve a stronger more toned core and abdomen through using your DVD. I truly cannot wait to purchase your second DVD, and I thought that the conclusion part of the DVD was a very friendly down-to-earth and considerate touch.

Lauren, I am 32 years old and I have been a gym rat and fanatic since I was 18 years old. My first love is for running and I tend to run five to six miles, four to five five days per week. Additionally, I have tried every other cardio workout available from Zumba to kickboxing and I hated them all. I have practiced every from of Yoga out there; I worked with a trainer on and off for a while...but nothing seemed to get my body to where I wanted it to be. I began doing kettlebell workouts at a local studio. I absolutely loved it!!!! However, because the hours offered at the studio did not coincide with my busy schedule, I purchased your video and WOW it put my workout at that studio to shame!!!!! I have to say that you are a complete inspiration. Your workout is so intense and motivating--I feel and see the results already--- in just a few weeks time. I always HATED weight training and I can not believe that I love a workout that involves weights!!!! To mix up my workout routine at home, I would love to order other workout videos if you have them available. Please, Please tell me that you have others or others in the works......

Lauren: Hello! I was lucky enough to trip across your website and ordered your new DVD. I absolutely love it. I have to tell you honestly, that your instruction is by far the most straight forward and easy to follow than any of the other DVDs out there. I’ve tried for years to master some of the basic techniques and have struggled. For instance, I had never ever been taught to do a “clean” the way you taught it, and used to simply accept that bruised forearms went along with the territory. So thank you!

First, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your strength and conditioning dvd with kettlebells. I have 100’s of exercise videos – the Getted Ripped series by Jari Love; Chalene Extreme program, Pilates, Yoga and I workout on a TreadClimber – but nothing gets me going like your DVD - I find it very empowering. And your down to earth style and precise cuing is very refreshing!
I am a 47 year old single mother of 3….and I work full time. I am currently only working with a 12 pound kettlebell and it isn’t heavy enough for me so I am going out this weekend and getting a 20 pound.

As kettlebells are becoming more popular in the United States, so are the KB instructors that promote their use for fitness goals. After purchasing most of the kettlebells videos on the market by the professed "big boys" of Kettlebell mania, I can only say that Lauren's new video stands alone and stands strong. What struck me immediately is that she has the ability to break down a kettlebell exercise and make it extremely user friendly. Her video presence is genuine and straight forward...no bravado or marketing gimmicks. It is perfect for the beginner who may be intimidated by the newness of training with kettlebells or the seasoned kettle bell user. The video is extremely user friendly which is easily followed, especially her narrative as she progresses through each exercise and work out.

I did Lauren Brooks' Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Kettlebells workout for the first time. I was blown away. For as young as Lauren is she is amazing. This is one tough workout that will get your heart rate up and it stays up. You WILL have DOMS the next day. Lauren has perfect form on all the exercises and gives great pointers along the way. I just wanted to let you know that your kettlebell dvd is my favorite. I bought another kettlebell dvd that was highly recommended and although it's good, I think the speed of some of the exercises are a bit too fast for me and I walk away with pain in my lower back. I go back to your dvd each time I want to work out with kettlebells. -Valerie
